Unravelling the biology of RNA splicing
A vast majority of genes in our genome expressed as more than one form (known as isoforms). This means, a single gene can function in different ways. Traditionally, biological questions are addressed at gene level. However, our mission is to shift this paradigm to isoform level, by investigating how different isoforms from the same gene can have distinct functions and how their regulation drives biological function and dysregulation can lead to disease.
